Ms Tham Yuen Han
Ms Tham Yuen Han heads the team at WE CARE and is actively involved in conducting therapy programmes and counselling. Prior to joining WE CARE, she practiced as a psychotherapist, at Promises Healthcare and Raffles Hospital. Her experience has been in the areas of addictive and psychological issues, where she has provided individual, family and group therapy services to persons with addiction and their families.
She has extensive experience in delivering training and educational workshops for people with addictions, as well as for the general public, corporations and institutions.
Yuen Han has obtained specialist training in addiction counselling and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor. She is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, working with both young and matured adult population. Since 2008, she has participated in various private and community programmes addressing substance dependency and behavioural addiction.
In addition to her clinical work, Yuen Han conducts professional training to mental health professionals and students, leading to certification in addiction counselling. She has taught counselling and psychology in the Tampines Polytechnic and other educational institutions. Yuen Han holds a Master of Counselling from Monash University, and Bachelor in Social Science (Hons) from the NUS.
