Prof Si Tianmei
Prof Si received her MD and PhD at PUIMH. Following a psychiatry residency at the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Prof Si spent 2 more years at PUIMH as a Consultant Psychiatrist. Prior to her current roles at PUIMH, she undertook a research fellowship at the Research Institute of Biological Psychiatry, an international research facility based on the Psychiatric Hospital of Sct. Hans in Roskilde.
Currently, Prof Si has been working on designing of psychopharmacological clinical trials and the development of the Chinese Psychopharmacology Algorithm Project. As the Principal Investigator, she got more than ten sources of funding support from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Capital Foundation of Medicine Research and Development, the Ministry of Science and Technology, “12th Five-year-plan” of National Key Technologies R&D Program of China, and the Doctoral Program of Higher Education of China, Ministry of Education. With the financial support of these grants, there are some important and interesting scientific results found in the area of neuro-psychopharmacology and published more than 250 scientific papers in both Chinese local and international peer-reviewed journals.
Prof Si is the Executive Committee member of the Chinese Society of Psychiatry and the Chinese Medical Association. In addition, she is Chair of the Chinese Schizophrenia Collaborative Group, and the past-president of Asian Schizophrenia Research Institute and the current president of Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology .
