Dr Mohamed Zakir Karuvetil

Dr Mohamed Zakir Karuvetil is a Consultant at the Institute of Mental Health, specialising in both general adult psychiatry and addiction medicine.

Beyond his clinical responsibilities, he is actively engaged in research and teaching, having authored several book chapters in the field of addictions. Dr Karuvetil holds academic positions at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Duke-NUS Medical School and LKC School of Medicine. He also teaches in the Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Programme for general health practitioners, a collaborative initiative between IMH and NUS.
